BakingSubs was born from a simple yet relatable moment in the kitchen.

My partner Maddy, an avid home baker, realized she was out of a key ingredient and most of the substitutions she found online were vague or unreliable. To top it off, none of them gave her the confidence to bake around different dietary needs.

As we kept baking, we realized we weren't alone. Thousands of home bakers struggle with food allergies and sensitivities — to gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts — and can't afford to "wing it" when it comes to ingredient swaps.
